Every book is wrapped, and you won't know the title until you open it. Instead of a cover, you get a clue card — genre, a few hints about the plot and characters, enough to know it's your kind of read.

I pick every title myself, with an eye on what indie booksellers are loving right now. Mr. Main Street does the wrapping. And then the Interns and I load the package up with the cutest curated bookish accessories. No algorithms. Just books we genuinely think you'll love.

A Note from the Founder

Hi, I'm Kimberly. Welcome to Main Street Chapters.

We're a traveling pop-up bookshop based in Pennington, New Jersey. Every weekend we load up the car, set up at a market or festival, and help people find their next great read — wrapped in kraft paper, clue card attached, title a surprise until you open it.

I started this because a book chosen by a real person who thought about you hits differently than anything an algorithm recommends. I curate every title. Mr. Main Street does the wrapping. And then the Interns and I load the package up with the cutest curated bookish accessories.

Three things guide everything we do: kindness, presence, and wonder. In the books we choose, in how we show up, and in the experience we try to create for every reader who finds us.
