Dear Reader โจ
Flemington was everything.
We showed up to the Corn, Tomato + Beer Fest with four full racks of wrapped books (and back stock!) and left with empty bins. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, picked up a bundle, and took a blind date leap with us. You made it our best day yet.
We also just published a behind-the-scenes look at how we actually choose which books make the cut โ from Indie Next lists to book club buzz to the "would we gift this?" test. It's the most honest thing we've written yet.
๐ฟ Come find us at Bellemont Farm โ September 5 & 6
Archive note: this event has passed.
We'll be popping up at the Lambertville Sunflower Festival at Bellemont Farm, Saturday (9/5) and Sunday (9/6), 10 am โ 6 pm (22 Valley Road, Lambertville, NJ). It's a ticketed event, but also one of the most magical settings of the season! Join us among the sunflower fields, food trucks, beer garden, live music, crafts, and vendors. Weekend admission includes one craft activity per person, up to $9 of cut-your-own flowers, and access to the play area, live music, sunflower fields, and vendors. Get your tickets here.

๐ Something close to our heart: Love For Our Elders
I'm thrilled to share that I've been selected as a Local Outreach Coordinator for Love For Our Elders โ a nonprofit dedicated to fighting loneliness among older adults through handwritten letters. (Learn more about the org here.)
We'll be setting up a Dear Elder Mailbox at our pop-ups where anyone can drop a heartfelt note for an elder who needs to hear from someone. Books and letters โ it felt like a natural fit. I'll post more details on the 'gram in the coming days about how you can contribute, if you're interested.
One more thing โ we want to hear from YOU. Where would you love to see Main Street Chapters pop up next? Just hit reply and tell us. We read every single response, and your suggestions genuinely shape where we go. ๐ฌ
Yours, as ever. ๐ ๐ชถ
