I’ve been spending a lot of time lately in the corners of the internet where authors live and pour their hearts out to anyone who will listen.
And I keep hearing the same thing, said a hundred different ways:
Bestsellers are selling more. Everything else is selling less.
It’s not a rumor. It’s the math of modern publishing. Publishers chase the books that will make them the most money, which means pouring resources into landing big names and producing blockbuster titles. Advances, marketing budgets, placement, promotion. It all flows uphill.
Which leaves debut authors, midlist writers, and indie voices doing something remarkable: creating anyway. Showing up on social media with handmade content, building audiences one reader at a time, writing the next book even when the last one didn’t get the push it deserved.
That’s exactly why we do what we do.
Every bundle we wrap is a deliberate choice. We’re not automatically stocking what’s on the airport display or what a publisher paid to put in front of us.
