Dear Reader β¨
Somewhere between setting up a table at Sunset Sculpt at the Chauncey Hotel and watching a stranger pick up a book they didn't know they needed, it hit me all over again: this is exactly what we're here for. We are doing the thing!
Main Street Chapters is built on three things β kindness, presence, and wonder. They're not just words on our website. They're the reason we show up, week after week, with a table full of highly curated, hand-wrapped books and a whole lot of heart.
Kindness is in the way we listen before we recommend. Presence is in choosing to be here β at your market, your farm, your community event β instead of just online. And wonder is what happens when the right book finds the right reader at exactly the right moment.
Last week, wonder looked like my sister in tears over a book I picked for her. (The good kind. I promise.) This weekend, we're living all three. π€

π Advance Pick: Murder at the Grand Alpine Hotel by Lucy Foley & Agatha Christie (September 2026)
Okay, bookseller perks are real and I am not sorry about it.
I just finished an advance copy of the brand-new Miss Marple mystery β and I have thoughts. Many thoughts. All of them good.
A grand Alpine hotel. A blizzard. A body. A cast of guests with secrets simmering beneath the champagne and furs. And one polite, unassuming woman with an extraordinary mind watching it all unfold.
It's cozy and sinister in equal measure, and it is exactly the kind of book I will be wrapping up and putting into as many hands as possible this fall. It doesn't drop until September β but consider this your early warning. π
πΈ The Internet Has Spoken (1,100+ Views and Counting)
Last week, my sister asked me for something sweet. I picked out a book. She cried.
We caught it on camera. The internet loved it. π₯Ή
If you haven't seen it yet, go find us on Instagram β and if you have, you know exactly why we do this. Every follow, share, and comment helps more readers find us, and we'd love for more people to feel what she felt.
